With the proposed redevelopment of Toondah Harbour, Walker Corporation is committed to providing a long term plan to serve the Redlands community, including job opportunities for local tradespersons, suppliers and subcontractors, including a minimum 15% intake of apprentices and trainees. A 12-18 month environmental impact assessment will soon be underway and, if approved, a major program of works will follow with a significant focus on local involvement.

Subject to approvals, Toondah Harbour’s new coastal village will include a longer and deeper shipping channel, a world-class ferry terminal and marina, public boat ramp and facilities, swimming lagoon, conservation areas, waterfront retail and commercial space, as well as residential dwellings and public parks.
